Part of the Rosehaven Provincial Program, Outreach Education provides no-fee education sessions for staff in all three streams of the Continuing Care System. A number of modules have been developed for face-to-face and/or webinar. Examples include: ABCCs of Behaviour Management, Common Forms of Dementia, Creating a Therapeutic Relationship (Person-Centred Care), Depression in the Elderly, Retrogenesis and Resident-to-Resident Aggression. Education sessions are delivered in various ways to meet your staff education requirements. In addition to the face-to-face workshops and webinar sessions, we also offer self study modules.
In recognition of the need for education for regulated health care professionals and the need for supporting transfer of knowledge, the most comprehensive program was determined to be the PIECES program from Ontario.
In conjunction with the PIECES Education Program, TIPS provides timely e-mail advice on clinical and educational problems to those participating in PIECES. A team of experts provides the practical TIPS responses and advice for thinking through complex problems.
We also encourage you to visit our TIPS Library, which contains a database of over 150 questions and answers on a variety of topics. In addition, after you have worked through the ABCC Model and you need additional information, please submit a TIPS question, we will provide you with an answer as soon as possible.
