Crossroads Day Program
Available in the City of Camrose (46-12 53 Street, Rosehaven Heritage Building,) and the City of Wetaskiwin (4501 - 60 Street, Peace Hills Lodge.)
The Crossroads Day Program is a service for people in the community who need support and assistance to maintain their independent living situation. Program participants continue to live in their own residence, within the City of Camrose or the City of Wetaskiwin and surrounding areas, and come to the program during the day for a variety of social programs.
Eligibility
Each potential participant is assessed to identify their needs and to ensure the services being provided can be adapted to address their needs. We welcome:
- individuals with memory impairments
- individuals with chronic health issues, whether physical, mental, emotional or social in nature
It is intended that older adults who attend are interested in being part of a group and benefit from involvement with the various social programs available.
Services Offered
Services offered include:
- Socialization
- Recreation and leisure activities
- Special diets
- Family education and support
- Transportation services are available to most ambulatory program participants. Non-ambulatory participants, those who live outside the City of Camrose or City of Wetaskiwin and those who are assessed as being at high risk of injury during boarding and exiting are assisted to arrange alternate transportation.
- These programs are scheduled from mid-morning to mid-afternoon each weekday.
Fees
- There is no daily attendance fee associated with this program.
- There is a fee for the optional transportation and meal services. ($8 for lunch and snacks)
- There is a fee for Activity Council that is used exclusively for program resources and projects (as approved by participants).
